Eleemosynary
by Lee Blessing
Directed by Christopher Kehoe
June 7–23, 2024
Echo Wesbrook is a bright teenager who loves words. Words like "favonian," "marmoreal," and "palinode." Her mind hums like a well-oiled machine. But with her grandmother and caretaker now gone, Echo will need to find a new way with her absent mother: a woman with perfect memory who remembers everything...and forgets nothing. The Wesbrook women are blessed with amazing minds but, after decades of pain and disappointment, can their hearts learn something new? Eleemosynary is the charming and poetic rumination on family by Lee Blessing, about three generations of women at the crossroads of the human brain, the human spirit, and the human heart.
