Katie Tuminelly
Katie is excited to be back in stage in the Twin Cities for the first time in over 20 years. After spending most of the '90s at play with Stages Theatre Company (the Child's Play) out in Hopkins, Katie left Minnesota for New York. In the Big Apple, she could be caught making plays everywhere from Brooklyn to the Bronx. Some of her favorite roles include May in Eastern Standard, Eleanor in The Love Song, Laine Wells in Lee Blessing's Two Rooms, part of the ensemble in Measure for Measure with the Public Theatre directed by David Esbjornson, and most recently Hillary in Raised In Captivity. Here in the Midwest, Katie played Margaret in Richard III with SD Shakes and taught theater to the encarcerated men at The Moose Lake correctional Facility with Redeeming Time. She learned the true power of theater in prison. Katie is currently working on a one-woman comedy loosely based on Blanche from A Streetcar Named Desire. Katie is a graduate of The Juilliard Drama program (Group 40).
